The 2026 gameplay PV introduced the supporting cast around Soul's 66 days — merchants, smiths, kin and doubters. Here is everyone the trailer named, and what they do.

The allies and hangers-on

  • Wonder-Hand Zhang — a merchant who wanders the world collecting rare treasures; runs the trading post at your hub and carries his own side-dialogue lines
  • Liexie — an artisan under Envoy Void, master of mechanisms and weapon-forging; builds and modifies equipment for Soul
  • The Old Coachman — the quiet driver traveling with Zhang and Liexie. Reads as ordinary; the trailers hint at a modification-related past. Handles hub transport
  • The Piper (Xianzhe) — a modified Ghost Officer under Void who fights with a pipa, half puppet by design. A classic character from the series' history, with an independent storyline in this game

The story-critical name

  • Mu Xiaokui — daughter of the murdered Lord Mu Tianmiao and young mistress of The Order. Her bonds with both Soul and Zuo Shang place her at the center of the whodunit: the man she may blame (Soul), and the man she should suspect (Zuo Shang). Expect her in every major act — see the story explained

The doubters on the other side

  • The Three Kalpas of Kunlun (Yuyinzi, Huangyinzi, Mojizi) — Righteous Alliance monks dispatched to crush the strange-face uprising, who slowly lose faith in their own hierarchy's disregard for common people. Huangyinzi shows a berserk second phase in the gameplay PV — one of the trailer's tougher spotlight fights

How they fit the kungfupunk theme

Almost every named NPC embodies the game's thesis — the powerful discard people, and people find ways anyway: a merchant selling hope, a smith making tools for a dead man walking, monks questioning their masters. The theme is unpacked in kungfupunk explained, and the factions behind them in factions overview.
