Bandit-Fiend Blade — Phantom Blade Zero Primary Weapon

The Bandit-Fiend Blade is Phantom Blade Zero's most beginner-friendly counter weapon — its blade ignites on enemy hits for an instant Killing-intent dump and execution.

The community's consensus easiest counter weapon.

Bandit-Fiend Blade earned its reputation fast: it is widely called the easiest defensive-counter weapon to use in everything Phantom Blade Zero has shown. If Spirit Snake rewards mastery, this one rewards presence of mind.

What it does

  • When an enemy strike lands on your blade, it ignites red on contact
  • One heavy attack during that window empties the enemy's Killing-intent gauge outright
  • A drained gauge drops the enemy into recovery — your cue for the one-button execution

The whole sequence — take the hit on your guard, heavy attack, execute — is three beats with no tight frames between them. It converts the game's defensive systems into damage without demanding frame-perfect anything.

The trade-off

Automation costs ceiling. Against bosses that punish predictable guard behavior, or in difficulty modes where parry windows shrink, the blade's forgiving route becomes a habit you have to grow out of.

Who it suits

First playthroughs, demo survivors who liked blocking more than dodging, and anyone who wants executions on tap. Compare with the Broken Steel Blade for a plain-damage alternative, or browse the weapons gallery for the full set.

Name note: working translation of the Chinese name; official English pending.
